Ball Valves

Ball Valves

Ball valves can be constructed from various materials, including brass, stainless steel, carbon steel, plastic, and alloys. The choice of material depends on the application and the type of fluid being handled.

Ball valves are commonly used as fluid shutoff valves in onshore and offshore oil and gas production facilities. They are also used in fuel gas system feeding furnaces. Ball valves are designed to control the flow of high-pressure gasses and liquids with minimal pressure drop

Ball valves consist of a spherical ball with a hole (bore) through its center. When the bore is aligned with the pipe, the valve is open, allowing fluid to flow. When the bore is perpendicular to the pipe, the valve is closed.
